HR Generalist

As a Human Resources Generalist, you’ll be a key member of the team by being a champion of people and culture initiatives. Thorough communication skills will be required to understand each team member’s characteristics and career goals. The most successful HR Generalist will be a quick learner with flexibility in approaching colleagues and a self-starter in initiating activities which develops communication and rapport amount Calibr8’s team members.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead recruitment efforts according to the workforce needs of the Team
- Generate official internal documents such as offer letters, employment contracts, information forms, salary slips, and warning letters (if needed)
- Create onboarding plans and educating the team, especially newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
- Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records
- Creating and implementing employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval, and initiating activities
- Developing and executing organizational development and team building programs
- Regularly performing sound checks with employees and relaying to management any information which could be acted upon by the management.
- Collaborate with outside vendors such as HMO providers ands events companies, upper management, and employees
- Managing logistical requirements of all face-to-face events not limited to securing the venue, food, and accommodation.
- Keep track of employee performance evaluations and appraising their pay scale accordingly
- Take appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Psychology, Human Resources, Behavioral Science or any related field
- Minimum 1-year professional experience is an advantage
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skill and multitasking ability
- Proficiency in G-Suite, Microsoft Word
